The UNS N08825 designation is used to identify nickel-iron-chromium alloys. UNS N08825 is a nickel-based alloy with a melting point of 1100 degrees Fahrenheit (593 degrees Celsius). UNS N08825 alloys are annealed to generate regulated grain size for the best performance in this temperature range where creep and rupture resistance are required at temperatures above 1100°F (593°C). At temperatures exceeding 1100°F (593°C), UNS N08825 is a nickel-iron-chromium-tungsten alloy used for creep and rupture resistance. To get the optimum results at this temperature range, it's annealed.
