For use with ASTM F593 fasteners, ASTM F594 specifies the chemical and mechanical properties of stainless steel nuts with diameters ranging from 1/4 to 1-1/2 inches, inclusive. These nuts come in seven different alloy groups and are designed to be used in a variety of situations. Here is a list of the most prevalent grades in the ASTM F594 specification.
